Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica
Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, is a public institution founded in 1971, becoming the country´s first and only technological university oriented to the modernization and improvement of the national productive sector and technology transfer for the transformation on the Costa Rican society.
Today, the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica focuses on a variety of academic areas in Science and Technology: Engineering fields, Administration, and Technological Education offering 23 undergraduate programs, 18 master degree programs, and a PhD in Natural Sciences. It has 96% accredited academic programs by Canadian and National agencies; plus, the HCERES in Europe. In addition, it counts with diverse research center. It has 12000 students, distributed in 3 Campuses and 2 Academic Centers (Main campus in Cartago, Regional Campus San Carlos, Campus San José, Academic Center Limón and Academic Center in Alajuela).
As a higher education institution seeking for better opportunities around the world, supports initiatives for student Exchange programs (i.e. study abroad) and Faculty Exchange programs for joint research, graduate studies, research internships, technical visits, and others to strengthen the quality and excellency of our educational and administration body.
As an autonomous institution of higher education, Tecnológico de Costa Rica contributes to the growth of excellent educated professionals to critically and creative assume productive jobs.
